This project consisted of the upper floors of a mid-terrace Victorian property being extended. The ground floor is a retail unit, which remained let throughout the works. The main roof was removed along with the upper floor, the brickwork was raised to provide a full second floor. The first floor was then altered to form a one bedroom flat and another one bedroom flat was formed within the second floor.
Prior to commencement of the works the property had not been in use for circa 30 years and therefore required full reconstruction to include new floors, roof and then the formation of the two flats. New soundproofing, separating floors and ceilings were installed and both flats were then fitted out to a high architectural finish to include high gloss kitchens, Italian sourced fully tiled bathrooms and engineered oak flooring throughout. A full rewire, new central heating & plumbing were also provided, along with external repairs and redecorations to the whole building.
The works ran for 35 weeks and was completed in 2009, both properties were let by the private investor owner but have since been sold.
